Aberdeen's Christmas village is to return after being hailed a success in 2015.

Tens of thousands of people visited the attraction - including food stalls and entertainment - in Union Terrace over the festive period.

Councillors approved £132,000 of funding for the event last night.

About 15,000 people also watched the annual parade marking Aberdeen's Christmas lights being switched on.
