Angus Council said about 400 households had been affected by the flooding.

Claims can be made in person, online, external, or over the phone.

The Scottish government has also announced a further £100,000 in aid for Angus families affected by the storm.

Funding has been given to all councils in affected areas to allocate to the tenants and businesses.

Brechin in Angus was one of the areas worst affected by flooding, with dozens of residents evacuated from their homes.

Angus Council said the household grant is for primary residences which were directly affected by the flooding inside the property, including damage to basements.

Properties which suffered flooding and damage to the garden only, as well as second homes, will not be eligible to apply.

Applications for funding can be made in person at The Crickety, Caldhame Place, Brechin between 10:00 and 14:00, Monday to Thursday until 21 December.

Phone applications can be made on 03452 777 778.
