Female struck by Neath Port Talbot train is killed

A person has died after being hit by a train at a railway station in Neath Port Talbot.

British Transport Police (BTP) said they were called to Briton Ferry railway station at 2129 BST on Monday along with police and paramedics.

The force said in a statement: "A female was pronounced dead at the scene and the incident is currently being treated as non-suspicious."

The coroner had been informed, police added.
