Welsh Highland Railway at the Aberglaslyn Pass

Peter Weston commented that "sometimes you just get lucky" when taking this photograph at Welsh Highland Railway at the Aberglaslyn Pass. He said: "Aiming to catch the train disappearing into a tunnel and catching the other occupants of the carriage looking out into the gorge. No tricks, just a compact digital."

Barmouth beach

Avril Simpson, who lives in Staffordshire, sent in this photo of Barmouth beach, Gwynedd, taken from Dinas Oleu, 4.5 acres (1.8 hectares) of land that was the first property to be gifted to the National Trust in 1895.
