The sun was breaking through the dramatic storm clouds to illuminate the yachts on the estuary at Barmouth, Gwynedd. Picture taken by Mark Weston from Hengoed, Caerphilly.

Peter Hollamby, of Penarth, Vale of Glamorgan, said this image of Penarth pier was taken with an exposure of around 30 seconds. He said: "We have had a number of occasions where the skies have been clear during a full moon."

Huw Jones, of Morriston, Swansea, said he was enjoying a visit to Bracelet Bay, Gower, for a some late summer sunshine and last week of the lifeguard season.
