Police took to Twitter to warn people against using the 999 service needlessly

A takeaway customer dialled 999 to complain to police that the wrong food order had been delivered to their home.

Dyfed-Powys Police took to social media to advise people the emergency call line should not be misused.

The force tweeted, external: "Wrong takeaway order delivered to an address. 999 made by caller to police. Don't misuse the 999 system."

Audio clips of nuisance 999 calls were published by North Wales Police in June to highlight the issue.

Among them were callers complaining about no sound on a television, cancelled plane tickets and a delayed taxi.
