Barry docks murder: Family pays tribute to Harry Baker

Harry Baker loved riding the "biggest and scariest rollercoasters"

Parents of a 17-year-old found dead in a dock have paid tribute to their "beautiful son".

The body of Harry Baker, from Cardiff, was found in Barry's container port at 05:50 BST on Wednesday.

Four people have been arrested on suspicion of murder and South Wales Police said "significant inquiries are ongoing".

Three men from Barry - aged 33, 36 and 47 - are in custody along with a 38-year-old woman from Carmarthenshire.

In a statement, Harry's family said the teenager loved "making memories".

"Harry is a fun-loving son and brother where family time was always precious - making memories on holidays, snowmobiling in Lapland, parasailing and riding the biggest and scariest rollercoasters in America.

"Harry was always having fun with his younger brother Alfie who he absolutely idolised and loved dearly, their bond was unbreakable."

They said Harry "always took pride in his work".

"Life will never be the same again without our beautiful son Harry. There was never a dull moment when you were around as your presence was so vibrant."

Police have launched a murder investigation

Det Ch Insp Mark O'Shea said: "A young man has tragically lost his life and we have a dedicated team of detectives doing all we can to apprehend all those responsible."

Harry's body was found at the port on Wimborne Road and police said a number of cordons remain in place while investigations continue.

Officers want to hear from people "who may have seen or heard a disturbance" in the Cardiff Road and Ffordd Y Mileniwm area of Barry between midnight and 01:00 BST on Wednesday.

Friends of Harry's family said they were "heartbroken" and "devastated" in tributes paid to him on social media.

Claire Thomas said: "RIP beautiful boy, taken way too soon" while Matthew Poole described Harry as "such a nice young man".
