Blackwood fire: Roof tiles explode as blaze tackled by crews

Dramatic footage shows roof tiles exploding as a fire tears through a flat above a takeaway restaurant.

Several crews attended the fire in Blackwood, Caerphilly, and a road has been closed, according to South Wales Fire and Rescue Service.

Firefighters used specialist equipment, including breathing apparatus, hose reel jets and an aerial ladder platform to tackle and extinguish the fire.
