A new £13.5m police headquarters in Wrexham county borough has been approved by councillors.

The facility on Llay industrial estate will replace the town centre station which faces demolition.

Wrexham council's planning committee agreed the plans, external on Monday subject to conditions.

But a decision on plans to open a smaller town centre station in the former Oriel gallery in the library was deferred over parking concerns.
