Police have arrested three more people over the fatal stabbing of a man in Flintshire.

Matthew James Cassidy, 19, from Merseyside, died at Bethel Place, Connah's Quay, on 29 May.

A 48-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder, while two women, aged 38 and 42, were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. All are local to the area.

The 38-year-old woman was also arrested on suspicion of supplying drugs.

A 19-year-old man from Liverpool appeared in court on 5 June charged with Mr Cassidy's murder.

A 19-year-old woman from Connah's Quay was arrested on Wednesday on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder.

Det Supt Iestyn Davies, of North Wales Police, said; "Despite one man having been charged and remanded in custody, the investigation is still very much ongoing and we are determined to build as full a picture as possible.

"The 19-year-old woman arrested yesterday continues to be questioned and we are still eager to speak to anyone who can assist."
