MPs urge broadcasters to make more TV about Wales

The way Wales is portrayed on TV needs to be improved, both for viewers in Wales and across the UK, MPs have said.

The Welsh Affairs Committee, external urged the BBC to give English language television programming for Wales a cash boost.

The BBC said it had announced plans that would address the politicians' concerns.

Committee chairman David Davies, Conservative MP for Monmouth, said the increase in BBC network programmes being made in Wales was not the answer by itself.
