UKIP's Neil Hamilton condemns 'pretty unpleasant' arguments

UKIP Wales leader Neil Hamilton spoken out against the bitterness of arguments within the party, saying they are a "cancer" which should be "stamped out".

He was commenting after MEP Steven Woolfe was taken to hospital following an altercation at a meeting of UKIP members of the European Parliament in Strasbourg on Thursday.

Mr Woolfe announced on Wednesday he will stand for the party's leadership after Diane James stepped down.

Speaking to the BBC News Channel, Mr Hamilton said within UKIP generally there were "pretty unpleasant" things being said and insults being traded online.
