Brexit bill expected to be adapted, says Alun Cairns

Welsh Secretary Alun Cairns has said the UK government has always accepted the EU Withdrawal Bill will face changes as it passes through Parliament.

His comments follow talks with First Minister Carwyn Jones, who said he was "encouraged" by the attitude of Mr Cairns and Theresa May's deputy Damian Green to amendments.

Mr Jones said his aim was to protect Welsh interests, but "not to block Brexit".

Mr Cairns said UK ministers had always tried to take other people's views on board.
