Missing Kyle Vaughan: Crimestoppers offers £5,000 reward

A £5,000 reward has been offered for information about a missing man who Gwent Police fear has been murdered.

Kyle Vaughan, from Blackwood, disappeared on 30 December and his damaged car was later found on the A467 between Risca and Cross Keys.

Eight people are on bail in connection with his disappearance.

Anyone with information leading to the arrest and conviction over his death could claim the reward from crime-fighting charity Crimestoppers.

Mr Vaughan, known to his friends as Jabbers, was last seen in the Abercarn and Risca areas.

His silver Peugeot 306 was in a collision on the night he disappeared but it is not known if he was driving it.

A Crimestoppers spokesman said: "Kyle has been missing for a number of months now and police suspect he has been the victim of murder, which is why we are offering this reward.

"I am appealing to anyone with any information as to who many have committed this crime to contact Crimestoppers anonymously and tell us what you know, not who you are."

Det Supt Peter Jones, the senior investigation officer, said Gwent Police remained fully committed to investigating Mr Vaughan's disappearance.

"Although we have made arrests during the investigation, we still need people to offer us any information they may have.

"What may seem a small or insignificant detail could be a vital piece of the jigsaw we need to help the family understand how and why Kyle disappeared. We hope the £5,000 reward will encourage more people to come forward.

Mr Vaughan's family have previously said in a statement that the agony of uncertainty was taking its toll.

"Please help us to find Kyle - we need him home," they said.
