Two more Welsh acts, Pontypridd rock band Lostprophets and Swansea singer Shaheen Jafargholi, have joined the line-up for a Ryder Cup launch show.

They will join Catherine Zeta Jones, Katherine Jenkins, Only Men Aloud and others on the stage at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff on 29 September.

The European and US golf teams will attend the Welcome to Wales concert.

The Ryder Cup takes place at Newport's Celtic Manor resort between 1 and 3 October.

Lostprophets have had two UK chart-topping albums, six UK top 20 singles and won six Kerrang awards.

The band's Mike Lewis said: "We're very excited to be a part of the Welcome to Wales concert.

"The tradition of sport is huge in Wales, and we know how important it is to the country that such a massive event like the Ryder Cup is being held here.

"We're very proud to be part of it."

Thirteen-year-old Shaheen Jafargholi found fame on ITV's Britain's Got Talent show.

He will perform with the Swansea-based Mark Jermin Stage School.

The Ryder Cup is staged every two years, alternating between venues in Europe and the United States, and it is the first time it has been held in Wales.
