Cameron Comey fell into the River Towy after playing with his brother
Children have been warned of the dangers of swimming in a Carmarthen river where an 11-year-old boy disappeared in February.
It comes after youngsters were spotted in the River Towy, where Cameron Comey went missing.
Regular patrols of the area have been made by police as part of a new water safety partnership which aims to raise awareness of the dangers.
It was set up as a result of two deaths and Cameron's disappearance.
Kieran Bennett-Leefe, 14, died after falling into the same river in 2011, while Luke Summerfield, 14, drowned at a disused quarry in 2012.
The Carmarthenshire Water Safety Partnership was launched to help emergency services, the local authority, campaign groups and the public share information on issues.
It delivered 24,000 leaflets to Carmarthenshire schools during the last week of term, warning of the dangers of swimming in waterways.
Chairman Adam Whitehouse, 42, a friend of Cameron's dad, Damion Comey, will officially launch the partnership with Dyfed-Powys Police's crime commissioner Christopher Salmon on 19 August.
