'I don't know who wins and I was on the show'

A contestant on the popular reality TV show The Traitors insists he has "no idea" who will win the final despite being in a WhatsApp messaging group with the entire cast.

Jack Marriner-Brown, from Bridlington, told BBC Radio Humberside that, just like the viewers, he has to wait until later to see what happens.

Mr Marriner-Brown, who filmed the show last year, said: "It is so cloak and dagger, it's crazy. We've signed agreements to not talk about it so every time a player leaves the castle that is it."

The landscape gardener and market trader, who acts in his spare time, has been out and about in Hull city centre capturing excitement ahead of the final.

The show, hosted by Claudia Winkleman, pits Traitors against Faithfuls in what is billed as the ultimate game of detection, backstabbing and trust.

Finalists have a chance of winning a share of £120,000, but if a Traitor survives until the very end, unidentified, they take home the lot.

The final will be broadcast at 20:30 GMT on BBC One.
