Crowdfund saves at-risk community garden
A community-run garden in south-east London, that was facing the prospect of closure after funding ran out, has been saved following a crowdfunding campaign.
Forest Hill Library Community Garden focuses on accessible food growing, well-being and plant-oriented activities.
But finances are tight and money which had previously paid for insurance and a regular gardener had run out.
Volunteers put together an online crowdfunding campaign to try and save their valuable space and have now reached their £8,000 target to keep it going.
