Burst pipe sprays water 'higher than the rooftops'

Parts of a village were left drenched after a burst pipe sprayed water high into the air.

The incident, in the village of Peasenhall, Suffolk at 15:30 BST on Saturday, was filmed by Tony Howe.

He said the water was gushing "higher than the rooftops of nearby houses" and was "quite amazing, like being in Iceland".

Cones and a temporary fence were put in place around the water main.

Essex and Suffolk Water has been approached for comment.
