Watch: How Letitia James ended up in Trump's crosshairs

New York Attorney General Letitia James has been criminally indicted on federal charges, just two years after leading a civil fraud investigation against Donald Trump in 2023, as he campaigned for a second term in office.

In a statement, James accused the president - who recently publicly pressured prosecutors to file criminal charges against her - of a "desperate weaponization of our justice system".

The BBC's Nada Tawfik looks at the pair's history and why President Trump has been after James.
