Emergency weather alert goes off during forecast

A BBC weather forecast was interrupted by an emergency weather alert siren which was sent to mobile devices.

Around three million people in parts of Wales and south-west England were sent one from the government as Storm Darragh approaches the UK.

Ian Fergusson, a senior weather forecaster for the BBC, explained what the noise was during the live broadcast of Points West from Bristol.
