Nathan Gill gives 'no comment' interview to police

Nathan Gill, the former leader of Reform in Wales, has been jailed after he was paid thousands of pounds to give TV interviews in favour of a key Putin ally and to make speeches in the European Parliament between December 2018 and July 2019.

The judge said Gill attended an initial police interview on 3 March 2022, and "answered no comment to all queries regarding the contents" of his phone, before his arrest and charge earlier this year.

In the interview, he was questioned about his relationship to Oleg Voloshyn, and the messages exchanged between them.

Gill has been sentenced to 10-and-a-half years in prison after admitting to eight counts of bribery.
