Essex Police thank the US in Holly Willoughby case

Essex Police have thanked US law enforcement colleagues for bringing Gavin Plumb to their attention and helping gather evidence that secured his conviction.

Plumb has been found guilty of soliciting the murder and inciting the rape and kidnap of TV presenter Holly Willoughby.

Thirty-seven-year-old Plumb, from Harlow, Essex, sent graphic and sexually motivated plans online that involved invading the broadcaster's home and keeping her in a dungeon.

Outside Chelmsford Crown Court, Det Ch Insp Greg Wood also thanked the victim who had bravely waived her anonymity.
