Old funfair footage bumps the cars back to 1975
As Hull Fair prepares to return this October, an unearthed BBC Look North clip from 1975 offers a glimpse into the vibrant past of Europe's largest travelling funfair.
The annual event, which returns from 10 to 18 October, is more than 700 years old.
With over 250 attractions, including thrilling rides, around 600,000 visitors are expected to descend on Walton Street.
Before these became the main draw, the venue was celebrated for its live music, circus acts, animal performances and a variety of unusual exhibits.
