'Surreal' funnel clouds form across East Midlands
A woman has described the "surreal" moment she watched a funnel cloud form in front of her.
Natalie Retallic captured the footage in Cuckney, Nottinghamshire, before seeing another funnel cloud begin to form in nearby Whaley Thorns in Derbyshire on Sunday.
"It was surreal - the funnel cloud kept forming, fading, then twisting back into view again and again," she said.
"It felt like the sky was putting on a show just for us, and we couldn't look away."
Funnel clouds were also spotted in Retford, Nottinghamshire.
A funnel cloud is a twisting column of air that extends downwards from the base of a larger cloud without reaching the ground.
If it hits the ground, it becomes a tornado.
The UK typically experiences about 30 to 50 tornadoes each year.
