Red Arrows surprise wedding couple with flypast

The Red Arrows surprised a couple who had just got married with a spectacular display.

Dawn and Trevor Stamp tied the knot at the weekend near Curry Rivel in Somerset.

Dawn's daughter Claire Shotton-Brooks had spotted the Red Arrows' flight path was due to pass the venue.

She wrote to them to ask about the possibility of smoke being turned on as they flew past. The display team's initial response was it was down to the discretion of their leader, Red One.

But as the Red Arrows flew past they turned on the smoke with the lucky couple saying it was an "amazing surprise".

Mr Stamp said: "I expected something like that for the Royal Family, not us."
