Trump says Saudi crown prince 'knew nothing' about Jamal Khashoggi's murder
Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman faced questions over his role in the killing of Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi while visiting the White House.
Donald Trump, hosting the prince, claimed thats Mohammed bin Salman "didn't know" about the murder, contradicting a 2021 US intelligence report that said the de facto leader "approved an operation" to "capture or kill" the journalist.
The crown prince called the killing and dismemberment of Khashoggi, which took place in the Saudi consulate in Istanbul, a "huge mistake".
