'Amazing' reaction over Olympic postbox topper
A woman behind an Olympic-themed postbox topper in Hereford has said she was not expecting the popularity of a video showing her creation.
Since BBC Hereford & Worcester posted an Instagram reel of Sue Cockroft unveiling the knitted topper on Ross Road, the images have had 1.3 million views around the world.
The grandmother from the city said she was "not quite sure why mine's sort of got singled out".
Ms Cockroft stated she did not follow Instagram so "had no idea this was going on".
People have called for her to get free tickets to the Olympics, which start with the opening ceremony on the River Seine in Paris on Friday.
Asked about the reaction to the video, she said: "It's just amazing. I mean as far as I was concerned it was just another topper that I'd put up.
"But it really seems to have caught [the] public imagination."
