Wildfires warning after Slieve Beagh damage
An amber warning for wildfires has been issued for Northern Ireland this weekend, after a third of Slieve Beagh was damaged in a cross-border wildfire.
The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service received a report of a fire in Clogher, County Tyrone, on Wednesday, which then spread to County Monaghan on Thursday.
Slieve Beagh is a protected area - it is home to the endangered hen harrier and intact blanket bog habitat.
