Watch: Chelmsford's MP candidates debate key issues
Candidates vying to become Chelmsford’s next MP have debated key issues in the city.
A pie and mash shop in the predominantly independent shopping area of Moulsham Street was the venue for the BBC Essex event, hosted by Ben Fryer.
Conservative, Labour, Liberal Democrat and Green politicians discussed crime, immigration and the NHS.
The constituency has been in Conservative control since the 1950s, but the Lib Dems have been running the city council since 2019.
The candidates who took part were:
Vicky Ford for the Conservatives
Marie Goldman for the Liberal Democrats
Reza Hossain for the Green Party
Richard Parry for the Labour Party
