Moment sleeping drug dealers were handcuffed in bed

Footage has been released showing the moment two drug dealers were woken up and handcuffed by officers during a police raid.

Miguel Figueiredo-Mendes and Jean Paul Ekombolo, both 28, were arrested at a property in Millstone Lane, Leicester, on 5 October 2022 as police executed a drugs warrant.

A third man, Christian Mudianga, 35, was arrested the same day at a separate address in Heathcott Road, Leicester.

All three were sentenced at Leicester Crown Court on Thursday after pleading guilty to drug offences.

Leicestershire Police said crack cocaine with a street value of more than £10,000 was found in the Millstone Lane flat, along with £1,000 in cash.

The warrants were part of an investigation into a drugs line operating between London and Leicestershire, particularly in the Coalville area, the force said.

Mudianga, of Heathcott Road, Leicester, was jailed for four years and three months after admitting conspiracy to supply cocaine and heroin.

Ekombolo, of Mast Street, Barking, received a four-year sentence for conspiracy to supply cocaine.

Figueiredo-Mendes, of Orange Grove, Chigwell, was jailed for six years and three months after pleading guilty to conspiracy to supply both cocaine and heroin.
