Herefordshire farm park welcomes three red squirrels
Three red squirrels have arrived at a small zoo in Herefordshire as part of conservation efforts to boost numbers in the wild.
There are thought to be fewer than 40,000 of the native species left in England, and they have disappeared from the Midlands altogether.
Cyril, David and Richard will be joined by some female red squirrels next year, to produce offspring, which will be released into the wild in Anglesey, in Wales.
The chance to see the endangered species up close is boosting visitor numbers at Small Breeds Farm Park in Kington.
