Vaughan Gething on 'politically motivated' claims

Vaughan Gething says he worked hard and followed the rules in a statement to the Senedd after announcing his resignation as first minister.

"A growing assertion that some kind of wrongdoing has taken place has been pernicious, politically motivated and patently untrue," he told the Senedd on Tuesday afternoon.

"In 11 years as a minister, I have never, ever, made a decision for personal gain," he said.

His resignation - both as first minster and Welsh Labour leader - came after four members of his cabinet dramatically released statements, calling for him to go.
