The treasures hiding in the Thames

Mudlarking is a centuries-old London tradition, which sees people searching the Thames riverbed for historical treasures.

But it has now become so popular a hobby that the Port of London Authority has announced a crackdown on permits.

It says this is necessary to "protect the unique historical integrity of the Thames foreshore".
