Driver crashed into barrier after police pursuit
Police dashcam footage has been released showing the moment a dangerous driver led officers on a high-speed chase.
Billy Ronchi, 22, was spotted driving "erratically" and was pulled over by police in Cockington Road, Bilborough, Nottingham.
But when officers exited their car, Ronchi sped away, reaching speeds of about 70mph (112km/h) along residential streets, Nottinghamshire Police said.
Ronchi, of Baker Street, Derby, also passed through red lights and narrowly avoided crashing into a lorry.
The chase, which happened on 18 January, ended when Ronchi lost control of the car and crashed into a safety barrier.
He admitted dangerous driving, driving while disqualified and driving without a licence or insurance.
At Nottingham Crown Court, Ronchi was given a 16-month sentence, suspended for two years. He was also disqualified from driving for three years.
The force said Ronchi "demonstrated a complete disregard for the safety of other road users when he sped through a built-up residential area in such a reckless manner".
