Boxing Bishop's youth club gets help after news report

A north London youth boxing club has been given a new boxing ring after one of its founders - an archbishop - featured in a BBC News report.

Archbishop Costakis Evangelou, also known as the Boxing Bishop, took part in a story for BBC London in October 2023, which highlighted his work in setting up the boxing club to give young people something positive to do in the area and to try to tackle gang culture.

Since the story aired, the charity Yes, which provides financial support to sports clubs, youth centres and sports charities, got in touch and provided the Edmonton Eagles Amateur Boxing Club with a brand-new, much-needed boxing ring.

BBC London's Anna O'Neill, who originally filmed with the Boxing Bishop, has been back to see how the new ring is helping the club move forward.
