Video footage shows the moments when an ambulance patient transfer vehicle caught fire.

Several explosions can be seen in the video which has been widely shared on WhatsApp.

Just after 13:00 GMT on Thursday, Staffordshire Police said they were called to a white Peugeot Boxer which was on fire on Captains Lane, Barton under Needwood.

No-one was hurt but a car and the windows of two nearby buildings were damaged, they added.

West Midlands Ambulance Service said it deployed staff to the scene, but nobody required treatment.

The Peugeot is believed to belong to a private operator.
