Black kept ADHD diagnosis private at 'toxic' Westminster
Discovering she had ADHD was like being handed "an instruction manual for my own brain", former SNP MP Mhairi Black has revealed.
Black, who was also deputy leader of the SNP in the House of Commons, said that because of the "toxic Westminster culture" she kept the condition to herself.
Speaking to BBC Scotland's Scotcast podcast, she said: "It allowed me to stop beating myself up so much because there were times where I would struggle to do things that other folk do effortlessly."
