Carney meets Macron on first foreign visit as PM
Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney has been meeting French President Emmanuel Macron to discuss the countries' partnership and support for Ukraine.
During a news conference, Carney described Canada as the "most European of non-European countries", and said he hoped Europe would work "enthusiastically" with Canada.
Macron described both nations as "peace powers" as he vowed to protect Ukraine from new Russian aggression.
