Cat found 30 miles from home amid 'abnormal' disappearances
"I'm just so happy he's back, he's the best cat ever."
Bengal cat Ringo went missing last October and was found several months later by a cat rescue charity in Shrewsbury, more than 30 miles (48 km) away from his home in Newton, Powys.
He is one of 10 cats which have disappeared from the Garth Owen area, of Newtown, Powys, in the past year, many within the last month, according to Kelly Healy, who represents the area for Powys council.
Powys Animal Welfare charity said there was an "abnormal" amount of missing cats and urged pet owners to take extra care with their animals.
Sammy Beckerleg said he was "ecstatic" to have Ringo home, as he had been so upset at Ringo disappearing.
