Is this a 'bendy bus'? Metro mayor disagrees

The debate over what to call the new additions to Liverpool's public transport network continues.

Trials have started on Liverpool's roads to see how the new "rapid transit vehicles" will handle things like roundabouts when they start carrying passengers in 2028.

Some have described the 59ft (18m) vehicles as "bendy buses".

Speaking on BBC Radio Merseyside's Hot Seat phone-in, the Metro Mayor of the Liverpool City Region Steve Rotheram insisted the vehicles were not officially buses.
