Boats sink after fire breaks out at marina

Two canal boats have been destroyed after a fire broke out at the marina in Boroughbridge

Firefighters were called to Valuation Lane, near to the marina, at 17:16 BST on Thursday, with smoke from the fire seen from as far away as Ferrensby.

A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service said four boats were involved in the fire, two of which sank.
