Watch as car caught on camera narrowly avoids head-on crash

A near head-on smash and a van going the wrong way round a roundabout are some of the examples of bad driving recently caught on camera.

The footage has been released as part of Humberside Police's Operation Snap, which allows members of the public to send in video evidence of bad driving.

The force said the purpose was to "improve road safety and to prosecute those that place others at risk".

Launched in April 2023, there had been 4,016 examples of bad driving, external sent to police by the end of 2024, with 2,067 of them leading to further action.

Six examples have been made public by police in their latest compilation. They include a lorry going through a red light at roadworks and vehicles overtaking on country roads.

Anyone who captures an example of bad driving on video is encouraged to upload it via the force's Operation Snap, external online portal.
