'Just brutal' - Owner speaks of trauma after alpacas shot dead

The owner of four alpacas shot dead in Cambridgeshire has described the incident as "horrific", and said she had no idea who might have been responsible.

Speaking to BBC Breakfast, Dawn French said she hoped the incident was a "one off".

The animals were attacked between 18:00 GMT on Saturday and 08:30 on Sunday in East Hatley, near Gamlingay, Cambridgeshire Police said.

In the same incident an ewe was injured by a dog and had to be put down, while another alpaca received a non-fatal gunshot wound to the face.
