Bear with us over behind bars Paddington - council

Paddington fans visiting their favourite bear have been left heartbroken on finding him behind bars.

Cardiff council has locked up the marmalade muncher over bad behaviour in the city centre.

Not his though - the Paddington in question is a statue of the book and movie character.

The authority said gated St John's Gardens was out of bounds from late afternoon Monday to Saturday and all day Sunday because of others' anti-social actions.

One shopper said: "If this closes at four our children from Aberdare wouldn't be able to come down to see it."
