Helene's devastating impact in 100 seconds

September's Hurricane Helene ravaged six south-eastern US states, leaving at least 135 dead and entire communities destroyed.

First striking Florida's Big Bend as the most powerful hurricane on record, it weakened into a tropical storm as it moved into Georgia, the Carolinas, and Tennessee.

The majority of the casualties were reported in North and South Carolina as the affected states faced flooding, falling trees, heavy rains and dangerous roads.
