Watch as freezer thrown at police car in chase

Footage shows objects including a household freezer, a spanner and a bottle were thrown from a moving van during a police chase in Llantrisant.

A roads policing officer started chasing a white Peugeot van which had suspected cloned plates.

Cardiff Crown Court heard the police car followed the van, which responded by accelerating away and throwing items from the passenger window and by van's driver.

Daniel Symmons, 31, previously pleaded guilty to dangerous driving, driving with no insurance, criminal damage, and assaulting an emergency worker.

He was sentenced to 10 months in prison which he will serve up to half the period in custody before being released on licence to serve the remainder in the community. He was also banned from driving for 23 months.
