'I want to provide for my family before I'm gone'
A father-of-three diagnosed with incurable cancer says spending time with his family is what keeps him going as he aims to raise money to provide for them after his death.
Lewis Daines, 37, from Crawley, was diagnosed with an aggressive form of lung cancer in May 2024.
But after an experimental tablet treatment trial stopped being effective, the former nurse says all he wants to is spend as much time as possible with his children.
Mr Daines said: "The hardest thing as a dad is I want to look after my kids and my wife, but I won't be there."
