Trump fans on his call for Canada to become 51st US state

US President Donald Trump has said on multiple occasions that it would be a "great idea" for Canada to become the 51st US state.

Trump's desire to absorb Canada, along with a tit-for-tat trade war, has sparked anger and inspired fierce patriotism. Canadians told the BBC they were "offended" and felt the jibe was "dangerous".

The BBC asked Trump supporters if they understand why Canadians were angered by the president's comments, and if they agreed with his view that Canada should become part of the US.
