Watch: Moment lorry driver with misted windscreen causes horror crash

This was the moment a lorry driver with a misted windscreen ploughed into the back of a van - causing a pile-up of vehicles in his wake.

Christopher Tribe, 57, hit the van on the B5129 at Sandycroft, Flintshire, with such force, several other vehicles crashed into each other.

A minibus ended up in a nearby ditch filled with water.

The crash, which happened on 3 December last year, was captured on CCTV and dashcam from inside Tribe's cab.

He had failed to see the traffic had stopped at a temporary red light.

Tribe, from Flintshire, pleaded guilty to dangerous driving, and he was sentenced to 36 weeks in prison, suspended for 18 months.

He was also banned from driving for 18 months and fined £272.
